Kuan Yin’s mantra is “Gate gate paragate parasamgate bodhi svaha.” Gate means gone. Gone from suffering to the liberation of suffering. Gone from forgetfulness to mindfulness. Gone from duality into nonduality. Paragate means gone all the way to the other shore.
The Prajñāpāramitā Hṛdaya, also known as The Heart Sutra is one of Mahayana’s most important sutras and one of my personal favorites; both to read and reflect on, and to chant.Though I haven’t grasped the concept of emptiness yet, the Prajnaparamita mantra in this sutra (Gate Gate Paragate Parasamgate Bodhi Svaha) is a great mantra to recite.

In Parasamgate sam means everyone, the sangha, the entire community of beings. Everyone gone over to the other shore. Bodhi is the light inside, enlightenment, or awakening. You see it and the vision of reality liberates you.
